Born into a family of French designers active since the 1920s, and restauranteurs, Caroline grew up immersed in fabrics, entertaining and the effortless grace of French style — so bringing that world to life here felt inevitable.
After three decades in Australia sourcing beautiful, ethical pieces from Europe, Caroline’s passion has grown into a boutique lifestyle brand that reflects both her heritage and the modern way we live.
Now proudly based in Melbourne and established for over 19 years, Maison Otto has grown from Caroline’s one-woman vision into a vibrant, family-run business supported by a dedicated team. As our collection and community have expanded, so too has our identity — evolving from a personal passion project into a brand that embraces a shared love for French culture, craftsmanship, and the everyday art of living well.

Caroline launched the wholesale branch in 2007 to introduce Australian stores to exceptional French brands not yet seen on the local market.
